I bought an apartment off the plan from Mirvac in Newstead, Brisbane and was expecting settlement to be in early 2017. Unfortunately for me the developer completed the project early and called for settlement on 12th December 2016. This left me in a very difficult situation as a casual employee with an unsold property that was planned to fund the purchase and not enough time to complete a sale.
